System
MActor

MActor, an open system for bi-directional communication with your customers. MActor is constructed on LonWorks® open standard, and can communicate via several media - IP, radio, twin-wire or electricity network. The system can handle meter readings, alarms and a number of other events. It can also be integrated with property systems, network surveillance, etc.

MActor

MActor is the central system, used to collect data from the meters. Each  meter is connected to a terminal (communication unit), or built into the same housing as the terminal. The terminal reads and stores meter values. The terminal sends data via routers in the infrastructure system to the MActor, usually run on a dedicated server in the operator's facilities.

Central System

MActor is a modern, functional, powerful, flexible and scaleable client/server system. MActor is developed on the basis of extensive experience of supply and the introduction of automatic collection systems with Nordic electricity network companies over a long period.

MActor handles everything from configuration of infrastructure and terminals to collection of meter readings. The system has been produced to match present requirements for efficient, robust system solutions for collection, storage and analysis of meter data from thousands of meter locations. It is also well equipped and prepared for the requirements of the future, with regards to both volume and performance, and in respect to function and new services.

To a great extent, the system is constructed on established, open standards, such as SQL, XML, TCP/IP and others.

Central components in the system are the database and communication server. The database system is organised in a separate databases for reasons of performance and security, among other things for configuration and structural data, and for meter data.

Operator functions can be installed in the electricity company's existing computer environments as required.

Existing, tested interfaces for most solutions existing in the market as regards invoicing, totalling and reporting, are fully contained in the system.
